CND’S 60th Anniversary Event

Saturday 17th February, 11am-3pm, Kala Sangam.

Saturday 17th February will mark 60 years since the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament was formed at their first public meeting in London. To celebrate Yorkshire CND is hosting a party at Kala Sangam, St Peter’s House, 1 Forster Square, Bradford, BD1 4TY.

The event will feature music from the Commoners Choir and the Peace Artistes as well as story-telling and film. The Commonweal Collection will be bringing some artefacts and talking about their links with CND.  A main feature of the day will be a Bring Your Own Museum, curated by The Peace Museum. Everyone is invited to bring an object that is special to their time or connection with CND and the peace movement. It will be placed in the temporary exhibition for the day.
