Pupils Create Peace Art for Bradford Urban Garden

Year 9 pupils from Challenge College, Bradford, took part in a workshop led by Bradford-based artist Zareena Bano at The Peace Museum on 9 February 2011. The workshop explored the graphic design, symbols and slogans used in peace campaigning posters from 1930 to the present day, drawing from the museum’s considerable collection of posters.

Talk on Abdul Ghaffar Khan informative and enlightening

Over 50 people turned out to hear Mr. Ali Gohar of Just Peace International present an illustrated talk on the life and work of Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Bacha Khan) entitled “The Noviolent Solider of Islam” on 20 January, at Manningham Mills Community Centre in Bradford.  The talk was organised and supported by The Peace Museum.
