Peace Museum Supporting Bradford Pride – Sat 31 May!
The Peace Museum will be supporting Bradford Pride this Saturday. The Museum will be open from 11am – 4pm. Visitors are welcome to explore a wide range of themes such as diversity, equality and the history of peace movements. Last chance to see our current temporary exhibitions (artwork by Margaret Glover and a mini-display about the civil war and peace work in Sierra Leone) and Room 1 (which looks at the origins of the peace movement) before a refurbishment. There will be rainbow inspired buns as well as hot and cold drinks on offer. Free entry and refreshments – donation welcome. The Museum will also have a stall at City Park where Pride revellers can buy white poppies, vintage badges, postcards, pens, bags and mugs. We encourage everyone to join in with the Wizard of Oz theme by picking up a green peace ribbon from the stall and tying to your wrist, a friend, a lamppost, railings etc. to help us turn Bradford City into the Emerald City!
