Item type: Banner Date: 1981 Description: The banner was made by Thalia Campbell. It shows ‘Remembrance Is Not Enough’ in gold lettering, surrounded by poppies in red, white, green and purple. It was brought from the Cenotaph to Trafalgar Square and back on Remembrance Sunday 1981. The idea behind the banner was not to go against the idea of remembrance, but to suggest that so much more was wanted and needed for long term peace to prevent more people being killed in the future.
