Sport, Conflict and Reconciliation Conference
We attended a conference on sport and peace ‘Sport, Conflict and Reconciliation’ at Liverpool Hope University on the 28th April. It was a very useful and interesting day and the Museum was pleased to be able to share with delegates, the details of some of our education work on Sport, the Olympics and Peace (see image). Our contribution was a descriptive account of how (and why) we have been using Sport, Courage, Peace and Friendship (SCPF) and the Playing for Peace (PfP) exhibition panels, with children and young people. The PfP exhibition panels were on display at Liverpool Hope’s Archbishop Desmond Tutu Centre for War and Peace Studies, in the lead up to the conference. Conference delegates (and anyone else who may be interested) are welcome to view the Peace Museum’s presentation on SCPF and PfP, by clicking on this link SCPF and PfP Please note the content of the presentation is (c) Diane Hadwen.
