Thanks for Supporting The Peace Museum on Sat 31st May
A big thank you to everyone who supported The Peace Museum on Saturday 31st May during Bradford Pride. It was a great day and the team met so many wonderful people. Between the Museum and the off-site stall in City Park, The Peace Museum engaged with 331 people – and that’s the people we managed to count! Our green ‘peace’ ribbons to transform Bradford City into the Emerald City (in keeping with the Wizard of Oz theme) went down a treat – all 300 ribbons were snapped up quickly – as did our rainbow cupcakes.Feedback about The Peace Museum and the work is does was extremely positive. Participating in the Bradford Pride event raised awareness about the Museum to those who hadn’t heard of us before. This was helped with the Museum’s funding strategist, Georgia Mack, going on stage and bravely addressing the huge crowd explaining why the Peace Museum supports Bradford Pride, community cohesion, equality and diversity. Well done Georgia! And a massive thanks to the team of volunteers (Asiya, Sabah, Suhail and Zara) who gave up their time to help run the stall, meet and greet pride revellers and museum visitors. Thank you. Watch this space for details for future events and special evenings.
