29 October – 26 November 2018
LOCATION: The Science and Media Museum Foyer, Level 0
The First World War was described as the war to end all wars, yet countless conflicts have emerged since 1918. This display explores the ways in which conflicts have been commemorated using the National Science and Media Museum’s collection, material from the Peace Museum and other credited partners.
The Peace Museum has contributed a copy of The Star newspaper that describes the ‘Maddest and merriest day’ of November 11th 1918.
As part of this exhibition, there is a talk titled PEACE AT LAST: RETURN TO LIFE AS NORMAL? By Bradford WW1 historian Kathryn Hughes on Tuesday 30 October 2018, 18.30
