The Tower Room – small meeting and study area now open!
Our new small meeting space and study area in the Tower Room is now available for use by small groups (six to eight maximum) or individuals, needing a quiet, pleasant space to study. We have a range of reference books in the Tower Room on a variety of subjects (for use only on the Museum’s premises) including books on diversity, peace and cohesion, education for peace and cohesion, Bradford peacemakers, the local area, Conscientious Objectors, the Cold War, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Women’s Peace Movements and much more! We also have a small selection of children’s books and resources. The Tower Room features unique peace inspired artwork by Salima Hashmi and Arpana Caur; it is also the home of the Bradford Biasan banner. At this moment in time there is no fee for using the Tower Room space, or our books and resources, but we do ask that groups wishing to hold meetings in this space make a donation of £10.00 and individual students £1.50. Self service tea and coffee available on request and Wi-Fi. Please ring or email to discuss your requirements and to check availability. Please note the Museum receives no external funding of any kind and therefore your donations are essential to pay for the up-keep of the Museum and its collection.
